Anna Kristín Daníelsdóttir
Anna Kristín Daníelsdóttir received her Ph.D. in Population Genetics from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1994. She is the Director of Research & Innovation at Matis Ltd. since 2008. Before, she was the Head of Department of Population Genetics, Marine Research Institute, Iceland until 2006. Then a Senior Advisor at the Icelandic Centre for Research in 2007. She has over 30 years’ experience in coordinating, managing and participating in National, Nordic and European RTD collaborative projects. Coordinator of the Nordic HerMix and EU-FP7 EcoFishMan and MareFrame projects. National delegate of PC FP7/H2020 SC5 Environment since 2006. Icelandic delegate in the Scientific Committees of IWC, ICES WGAGFM, NAMMCO and NEAFC. Member of the advisory boards for Scientific Journals and reviewer for scientific journals and funds. Supervisor and evaluator of M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. Her research work has resulted in over 50 peer-reviewed publications. She received the young scientist award of the Icelandic Research Council in the year 2000.
